Meet Steve & Jake
Steve Jacobs
Steve Jacobs has spent more than 30 years in the commercial furniture industry, helping organizations create smarter, more collaborative work environments. Originally from South Carolina, he moved to Jacksonville in the early 1980s to serve in the U.S. Navy.
After completing his active duty and reserve service, Steve pursued his passion for sales and was involved in multiple business ventures, including several startups. He found his true professional home in 1990 when he joined a new Jacksonville furniture dealership, eventually becoming a partner. The dealership was successfully sold in 2017, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Steve continues to bring deep industry experience, strong leadership, and a partnership-driven approach to every project he takes on.
Jake Cablish
Jake Cablish brings more than two decades of operational leadership and financial management experience to SJ Opts Contracting. His background in accounting, budgeting, and multi-site operations equips him to support the strict accuracy and documentation standards required in government procurement.
With extensive experience working alongside Cablish & Gentile, CPAs, Jake has developed a strong foundation in compliance, financial reporting, and oversight. His operational expertise strengthens our internal processes, vendor coordination, and project execution.
